day/poem 3
--enough--
do not presume to know my grief
do not presume to know my grief
not being for public display
it is labelled 'stoic' 'brave'
praised into non-existence
'cold' 'hard' stonewall
in face of 'well-meant' insistence
it has no need of making itself known
it is good, my grief, but prefers discretion
leaves pillow sopping after down-captured sobbing
nose-blown-bunged, head full on throbbing
it is puffy red morning-after eyes
cracked-voice cough-blamed shades disguise
it is private, my grief, and at times maligned
and that's alright - that's ok
just do not presume to know
what i have not put on display
just do not presume to know
a great little rant... love it
